The Expand Your Network Challenge

It’s All About Who You Know

We all know at least one person who stumbled into a fantastic opportunity thanks to a random connection. Whether it’s a promotion, a lead to a job, a new friend, or just an inspiring piece of advice, networking can offer a lot of benefits to your career and life in general.

Unfortunately, most people really don’t like networking. They think it’s awkward, fake, inauthentic...the list goes on. If you’re not naturally an extroverted person, then of course it’s going to be uncomfortable and intimidating to walk into a roomful of strangers with the intention of introducing yourself! However, having the ability to strike up a charming conversation with someone is an incredibly useful talent to have because you never know when you might need to tap into that resource.

Luckily, there’s an art to mingling and I’ve got some handy tips and tricks that will help encourage you to walk up to that group of people, strike up a conversation with someone new and speak confidently about yourself, too.

What You’ll Walk Away With

I know that networking is a pretty unpopular task among people who aren’t naturally talkative and socially-driven; but I also know how crucial it is to have the ability to network in order to advance your career and personal growth.

During this challenge, I will be offering you hands-on strategies and tips for overcoming your anxieties of networking, as well as tips for tapping into your own self-worth and making that worth apparent to others.

Together, we’ll discuss how you can manage the stressors that can crop up when you’re at a networking event. We’ll talk about ways to break the ice as well as the importance of making a good first impression.

In theory, people are just people, and they shouldn’t make you nervous -- but in reality it’s a bit more complicated. Join me and we’ll work together to push you out of your comfort zone and further down a path of endless opportunities.
